Hi, my name is Leah Haney. I'm a new member of the association but I've been active on Jason Rutledge's Suffolk Punch Facebook page for many years. On said page there was a long list of stallion photos and I presented the idea of creating a new list that included descriptions and work histories. Jason said "Run with it" and since the first of the year we've been adding information to this file. So far we have 34 stallion photos and histories listed.

I owe a big thank you to Jason, Rodney Read, Ken Laing, and Don and Pat Evia who's been a big help with providing me with historical information.

Along with the Facebook file I'm creating a physical file as well, that the association can have and share with anyone that is interested. Where on Facebook the information is being put in as it comes to me, the physical file is will be listed more in chronological order from oldest stallion to their sons and their grandsons. It's very cool to see photos and read about if they were broke to work and what kind of work they did. I think it's an interesting collection of Suffolk history.

If you have a stallion or had a previous stallion that you like to include in this project. Please contact me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

I am in search of a photo of the stallion Cumberland's Durango, to complete a line of photo history between Ironside Jack and current stallion Jango of Brightwood. Durango was only listed as Walden Ridge Farms as his previous owners, but he sired 5 horses with the Living Earth prefix. I'm hoping someone has a photo stashed away somewhere.
